Fire Protection System Design for Dabur India Limited by Agnim Engineerz
Dabur India Limited is one of India’s leading FMCG companies, renowned for its Ayurvedic, healthcare, personal care, and food products.
As part of its fire safety enhancement initiative, Dabur India Limited planned to upgrade the fire protection systems at its Rudrapur, Uttarakhand Plant for Unit 2 and Unit 3. Agnim Engineerz was entrusted with carrying out the complete engineering and design of the fire protection systems in accordance with applicable Indian and international standards.
Objective
To develop a comprehensive fire protection system design for Unit 2 and Unit 3 that complies with the requirements of NBC 2016, relevant IS Standards, and applicable NFPA Guidelines, ensuring a safe, code-compliant, and reliable fire protection infrastructure for the facility.
Scope of Work Executed by Agnim Engineerz
Agnim Engineerz carried out the complete engineering and design of the fire protection systems, including detailed site assessment, system design, and preparation of engineering deliverables.
The scope of work included:
Site visit and detailed data collection for both Unit 2 and Unit 3
Preparation of the Design Basis Report (DBR)
Design and engineering of the following fire protection systems:
- Fire Sprinkler System
- Fire Hydrant System
- Fire Alarm and Detection System
- Portable Fire Extinguisher System
- Fire Water Pumping System
Preparation of detailed AutoCAD drawings, including layout and system drawings
Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Cost estimation and material quantity calculations for the complete fire protection system
